First off, please understand that the NEW Sub-Zero models, $12,000 to $13,500, have all kinds of stupid stuff on them now, like WiFi and "Smart Cooling". They should not have done this but they did. The rule should be, the simpler the better when it comes to refrigeration. They also have to use a less tested Freon gas, so they no longer use the timeless R134a Freon which has been proven to be reliable for decades. That is because of govt regulations. So in our opinion the 600 series models were the last of the quality SZ units. Much more simple design and no unneccessary bells & whistles to break like the new models have.
This is a refurbished unit in which the fresh food evaporator, gaskets, stainless, top grill, etc, have been replaced with factory OEM SZ parts. No aftermarket Chinese parts used. 6 months parts replacement warranty included. This is a stainless steel Sub-Zero 532SS model which has the stainless tubular handles. Neither of the stainless doors have any dents or dimples; the stainless is perfect, see photos below. Interior has no damage. Some of the clear plastic bins and glass shelves have some very light scuff marks here and there. The handles may and often have small flaws or nicks that are not shown in frontal photos. We rate the condition as very good, but it is not 100% perfect brand new in box, so if you require something better then maybe this unit is not for you. The current list price for the new model is about $11,475. The manuals can be downloaded from the internet for free. Attention Sub-Zero Buyers: As you can research on the internet, Sub-Zero Series 400, 500, 600, 700 models have defective and leaking fresh food evaporators installed from the factory when sold as new. Many units being resold already have this leak, but before the unit is sold they are filled with some Freon gas so they appear to work correctly. The refrigerator will operate correctly for a week to several months, before the gas leaks out, then it will no longer get cold. The freezer will still work fine. So, unless the unit you purchase a unit with a replaced evaporator and it has a sticker attached saying so, chances are that refrigerator has not had this part replaced. The part has a 99% failure rate and will fail, resulting in a $2,500 repair cost. All our Series 400, 500 & 600 Sub-Zero units have replaced evaporators and we will not sell those models if it still has the original factory evaporator installed. As part of our refurbishing process, all units have new OEM Sub-Zero factory evaporators replaced by our licensed refrigerant technicians. Buyer agrees to accept shipment of item purchased. Buyer understands and agrees to not refuse the shipment and if buyer does refuse or does not accept the shipment, buyer agrees to pay all shipping costs involved in shipping the item to the buyer and return shipping cost back to our warehouse.
